About — Active Matter Guide
Active Matter is a PvPvE extraction shooter from Matter Team, published by Gaijin Network. It launched on 15 September 2026 for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. You drop into a contested map, fight other operators and the environment itself, and you only keep what you carry back out. Two mechanics drive most of the decision-making: a time loop that lets you rewind a bad stretch, and quantum unstable zones where matter destabilises and the map stops behaving predictably.
Active Matter Guide is a guide site for players who keep dying on the way out. It exists to answer the questions that only show up after your tenth failed extraction: which route to take, when to rewind, how far into a quantum zone is too far, and what to leave behind when you cannot carry it all. Guides are written against the live game, not against a pre-release build, and every page carries the patch it was last verified on.
We are a small independent team of players, not a studio. Pages are written from direct play, then cross-checked against patch notes and community testing before publication. When an update changes something we have already documented, the page is flagged and re-verified rather than quietly left to go stale. If you find something wrong or out of date, tell us and we will look at it.
